Deluxe Kalaha

The classic game "Deluxe Kalaha" requires you to collect more glass beads than your opponent.

The game has historical roots and belongs to the mancala family of games. To begin with, all of the glass beads are distributed between the 12 circular pits on the wooden board. Each player controls the six pits on their side of the board, as well the large pit to their right (the so-called ‘Kalaha’ or ‘store’). On a turn, the player removes all the beads from one of the pits under their control and distributes the beads one by one to the adjacent pits, moving in a counter-clockwise direction, including the player’s own store and their opponent’s pits. Once a bead is placed in the kalaha, it is safe and remains there until the end of the game. The game ends when one player no longer has any beads in any of their pits. The player who has collected the most beads in their store is the winner.
